Have you seen a noteworthy species? Reporting these species can help the Department of Natural Resources collect data and learn more about the state of Nova Scotia wildlife. This way they can make more informed decisions regarding wildlife management in Nova Scotia.
Report a species here (general reporting)
There are a few species that are of particular interest to the DNR. Mainland moose are endangered in Nova Scotia, and the eastern coyote ca be a problem for both rural and urban residents. With the increased prevalence of white-nosed syndrome among bats, any sightings of bats between November 1 and May 15th should be reported to the DNR.
